The West Of England Growth Hub has recently launched Green Business Grants, an ambitious programme of support for small businesses in the west of England. These grants will cover 50-80% of the costs of improving the energy efficiency of their premises or operations, up to a total of £15000.
What does it cover?
The grants cover a wide variety of projects including Solar PV, LED lighting, air source heat pumps and more. Investing in renewable technologies and energy efficiency is a great way to reduce your business overheads while also having a positive impact on the environment. Particularly in the case of Solar PV, these systems can often pay for themselves in the long run even without subsidy. This grant makes these systems an even more attractive option for small business owners.
How can I apply?
The scheme is open to SMEs in Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. To be eligible, a business must have less than 250 employees and either an annual turnover of €50 million of below, or a balance sheet of €43 or below. Some exemptions apply and you can apply on the West of England Growth Hub website.
